On April 26, 1966, Tashkent suffered a terrible earthquake. Most of the city was destroyed and needed to be completely rebuilt.

About 300 thousand residents were left without a home and livelihood. For 3.5 years, with the help of the Union republics, Tashkent was completely restored.

Bazaar Chorsu

One of the largest markets of Uzbekistan and Central Asia,

The bazaar was known in the Middle Ages and was of a great importance in the trade route of the Great Silk Road.

frescoes, columns and lamps attract the eyes of both

Today, the Tashkent Metro occupies the4th place among the cities of the former Soviet Union in terms of the length of the tracks.

Charvak reservoir
